Presc Field Trip to Dinosaur Park

Rachel had her first presc field trip today! We went to dinosaur park. When I picked Rachel up from presc yesterday she was so concerned about having left her purple hat at school that I went back and asked her teacher about it. They had a special project for today's field trip. When we arrived, each of the kids received their hat. She was so excited about her hat she couldn't hardly hold still

The first thing we did was a little lesson on dinosaurs. We even got to see real dinosaur bones!

Rachel was able to make a dinosaur mask of T-Rex! She has a very ferocious growl.

From there, Miss Shelly and Miss Amy had so much stuff for the kids to make their own trail mix for walking around the park.

After we were done with activities, we walked around the park to see the dinosaurs. Rachel wasn't too fond of the dinosaurs except for the pteranodons. They were by far her favorite! When Scott asked her later if she "likes dinosaurs," her response was "no, they scared me!"

After the pteranadons, we were able to see a paleontologist busy at work cleaning the dinosaur bones.

This is Rachel standing on the footprint of a triceratop. (There's that purple hat she was so proud of!)

They even had a park with a pteranadon slide.

All in all, it was fun busy day that needed rest at the end…

Here are a few more pictures.
