Presc Field Trip to the Library

We had a presc field trip to the library this week. While it was a field trip, it wasn't anything we hadn't done before. The kids sat for several stories and were also encouraged to get up and dance with scarves and sing songs. The girls were delighted with the story time and enjoyed sitting together, too. At one point, Alexa was sitting on the stage and decided she needed to be by Rachel. There was w little boy sitting there already, but it didn't bother her. She sat in front of him and scooted back until he moved over. She was then perfectly next to her sister for the story. This lasted for a few minutes until she decided she was hot close enough to Rachel. It is not uncommon at home that Rachel will invite alexa to come sit on her lap. Naturally, Alexa decided this is one of those times she should be sitting on Rachel's lap. So she did. Again, this lasted a few minutes, until Rachel noticed how heavy her sister was!  I had to step in and intervene, making one child grateful, and the other not so much. Thankfully, that was the end of our field trip. We love going to the library and this was so much fun to go with all of our friends! Can't wait for the next field trip when we go to the fire station!
