April Snow
About a month ago, Megs and I were talking about how it always snows in April. Within several days, she had a cute picture of her boys in winter coats and mittens. We joked they were ready for the April snow although it was quite warm outside. For almost a week, we were watching a little tiny snowflake come and go on our weather forecast. I didn't say anything to the girls because they would've been disappointed if it didn't happen. On Tuesday, it was supposed to be 62 degrees and snow. What I have forgotten about is "the warm before the storm." We definitely hit and surpassed 62...we even got up to 73 around mid-afternoon! The wind was blowing and it was wonderful (other than all of the dust in the air)! Eventually, the storm front moved in and it started to rain mud. The rain transitioned to snow after about a half hour and it continued to snow for the better part of the next 24+ hours! The snow stopped some time last night after the girls had gone to bed, but to everyone's delight, it melted within less than 24 hours. A good spring snow storm always gives much needed moisture, yes, but also one of my favorite things...snow on spring blossoms!
