The Blessing

The morning of the blessing, we were getting ready at Jan and Randy’s when we realized we both had a voicemail on our phones.  We had missed a call informing us that someone was going to the hospital.  Unfortunately, the caller did not speak clear enough for us to understand who!  There were several grandparents in town and Scott’s Grandma had stayed home and was sick.  Our thoughts immediately went to her.  While I continued to get myself and Rachel ready, Scott called Melissa.  She explained that Kerri had been bit by one of the three dogs in the house and was on her way to the hospital!  She tells the story much better (as she was there and we were not) and you can read it on her blog if you’d like: http://www.bkmoller.blogspot.com/.  This obviously put a damper on the reason for our trip…blessing Austin.  If the mother of the baby is in the ER, the blessing is not happening as planned.  We were grateful that it was able to happen that day as there was a lot of family in town for the blessing.

We didn’t get pictures of Brandon, Kerri, & Austin together, but we were able to get Grandma and Grandpa with the baby of the day and Rachel.  We were also able to meet Brent and Melissa on our trip!  This was exciting for us because they’re currently out in Island Park and aren’t able to come visit as often as we’d all like.  Rachel slept comfortably with Melissa holding her most of the time.  I think they only saw her awake for 20 minutes!  She was such a tired girl after meeting so many people.  We weren’t even done yet.

While we missed getting a picture of Brandon and Kerri with Austin, we did get a picture of Brandon and Austin with their new matching camo chairs!  We saw these and immediately thought they needed them!  Now we just need a queen’s throne for Kerri.

While no one was paying attention to Rachel, I was able to snap this of Rachel wrapping her Daddy even tighter around her little finger.  It has become very obvious over the last 2-months that I am going to be the one to tell her no in the future!
